Ryan Gosling is in discussions to take the title role in THE LONE RANGER, reports The Wrap. He would star alongside Johnny Depp, who will play Tonto. The Disney flick brings back together the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN team of director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Justin Haythe (REVOLUTIONARY ROAD) will write the script. Disney hopes to have the film ready by 2014.
