Chatsworth, Caoifornia-based GigaPix Studios is beginning post-production on BEN & IZZY, a half-hour CGI animated series that follows the adventures of two pre-teens, one from Jordan and one from the U. S. GigaPix is providing editorial, audio mixing, sound design and animation rendering services for the 10-episode series.

BEN & IZZY is produced by Rubicon, a Jordanian-based production company. GigaPix president David Pritchard serves as the series exec producer. Pritchard helped create the series when he was ceo of Fat Rock. The project is intended to be a direct-to-DVD production, but will also air on satellite and television broadcast networks, both in the Middle East and the U.S.

Overseeing the post-production work for GigaPix Clark Graff, the studio's new head of post-production and its recently formed visual effects division. Under Graff's supervision, GigaPix will expand upon its post-production and visual effects capabilities, servicing the BEN & IZZY production and the recently announced DR. GRAVE feature.

Graff worked on the Academy Award-winning, LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING, I, ROBOT, THE MATRIX: RELOADED and THE MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS.

"Clark brings to GigaPix Studios an extensive skill set and experience in post-production and visual effects that will tremendously enhance our capabilities on BEN & IZZY, as well as film projects that we have slated," said Pritchard.

GigaPix Studios (www.gigapixstudios.com) recently opened a visual effects department to provide complete, high-end visual effects design and post-production for feature films, television, commercial spots and music videos. Blauvelt founded GigaPix Studios on Dec. 20, 2002, in a modest 2,300- square-foot office in Canoga Park, California. GigaPix opened a new 32,000-square-foot facility in 2005, to move from shorts to independent computer-animated features.
