V&S Entertainment Ltd – producer of hugely popular pre-school animation Everything’s Rosie – has announced that their toy line from Vivid is set to be launched in the Portuguese market through distributor Giochi Preziosi Spain.
The hit pre-school show has recently been snapped up by Portuguese broadcaster Canal Panda and Giochi Preziosi will expand the Rosie range of toys into Portugal after enjoying strong toy sales in Spain. The company is looking to launch the toys in September 2012.
“Our toy range will delight and entertain the huge Rosie fan base, incorporating unique interactivity and play elements from the TV Series, with Feature Plush, interactive and musical toys and vehicles. Other products in the Rosie toy line will include games and collectables,” Giochi Preziosi confirms. “By the time we launch the toy line next summer there will be a sizeable ready-made market for products and we anticipate Everything’s Rosie establishing itself as a top girls pre-school line.”
The expansion of the licensing programme into Portugal sees V&S Entertainment’s building on the ongoing success of the brand in Spain, where the show is pulling in impressive viewing figures through RTVE’s CLAN TV and licensing partners include DIVISA RED, Random House Mondadori, IMC, Safta, Stor, Astro, and CYP Imports.
“With the show doing so well in Spain we are confident that Portuguese pre-schoolers will be equally entranced by Everything’s Rosie,” says Julie Quirke, Director of Licensing for V&S Entertainment, “Giochi Preziosi Spain recognise the evident potential for Rosie in this new market and we are looking forward to extending the toy line programme into Portugal. We are also close to appointing a Portuguese licensing agent, which will bring local expertise to the development of the licensing programme and ensure products across a wide range of categories will be available to launch in 2012 in tandem with toys.”
