Veteran entertainment executive to enhance international project development and oversee 360-degree strategy at independent kids content creation company.
Independent kids content creation company Epic Storyworlds has announced the appointment of Chantal Cloutier as their new executive producer and brand director. Cloutier joins the company just in time for their participation at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
A seasoned executive with a rich background in children’s entertainment and gaming, Cloutier will oversee the 360-degree strategy of all business lines at Epic Storyworlds. Her role includes spearheading the development of international productions and co-productions for all original projects. Cloutier’s expertise is expected to significantly contribute to the company’s growth and international expansion efforts.
“Chantal’s arrival marks an important turning point in our international deployment strategy. We needed to bolster our ability to initiate projects and bring them to the screen across our multiple business lines and Chantal will be a major asset to our projects’ success,” said Steve Couture, co-founder of the Quebec-based Epic Storyworlds. “Her experience in the gaming industry has given her an understanding that goes beyond the audiovisual sphere and we’re thrilled to be able to count on Chantal’s commitment to our growth and to our Quebec structure.”
Cloutier shared her excitement about joining the team, saying, “I am delighted to join another innovative Quebec company. The vision of Ken Faier and Steve Couture regarding project management and fan engagement is unique and groundbreaking. The genuine ability to leverage brands at Epic Storyworlds is extraordinary and I am excited to be part of this adventure.”
Before joining Epic Storyworlds, Cloutier was the executive producer and director of original productions at Squeeze Studio, where she oversaw the Cracké brand. She has also worked with Ubisoft, further enriching her portfolio with experience in both animation and interactive entertainment.
Faier and Couture will accompany Cloutier to Annecy, where they will participate in panels and present a portfolio of new projects, aiming to establish strategic partnerships with international producers and buyers.
Specializing in developing, producing, and operating a diverse catalog of children’s content, encompassing animated series, video games, and toys the Quebec-based Epic Storyworlds targets an audience aged 3 to 12 and operates its own animation studio, Loomi Animation, and a Roblox experience studio, Freeground.
