DreamWorks Animation Teases ‘Jurassic World: Chaos Theory’ Season 2

Netflix drops a trailer for the 3DCG animated series, set 6 years after the events at Camp Cretaceous; in the wake of tragedy, ‘The Nublar Six’ must unravel a conspiracy that threatens dinosaur and humankind alike.

Yesterday during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, DreamWorks Animation announced new Season 2 episodes of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, debuting on Netflix October 17. The 3DCG animated series picks up after the park has closed and the kingdom has fallen, unleashing a new era of chaos.

The event’s panelists included executive producers Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley and series cast members Paul-Mikél Williams; Sean Giambrone; Darren Barnet; Raini Rodriguez; Kausar Mohammed; Kiersten Kelly; and moderator Drew Taylor, reporter at The Wrap.  The highlight of the panel was an advanced screening of S2 episode 1.

In Season 2, it’s six years after the events at Camp Cretaceous, members of “The Nublar Six” are struggling to find their footing off the islands, navigating a world now filled with dinosaurs and people who want to hurt them. Reunited in the wake of a tragedy, the group comes together only to find themselves on the run and catapulted into a global adventure to unravel a conspiracy that threatens dinosaur and humankind alike and finally learn the truth about what happened to one of their own.

Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow, and Frank Marshall serve as executive producers alongside Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley who are also showrunners. The supervising producer is Zesung Kang. The series is produced by DreamWorks Animation.
