Dotcomix’s Sister Randy Brings Habit To BBC America

Dotcomix online hit SISTER RANDY will make her TV debut on BBC America, Saturday, October 21, 2000. SISTER is the second Webtoon to be licensed for TV broadcast on BBC America. Earlier this year the cable network began airing Mondo Medias THUGS ON FILM. Like THUGS, SISTER will serve as interstitials between programming. As part of the deal, the Webtoons will also air on bbcamerica.com. "Sister Randy is sure to be habit-forming television. Her fantastically irreverent approach is perfectly in tune with BBC Americas wicked sense of fun, " said Paul Lee, chief operating officer BBC America. Damon Danielson, CEO of Dotcomix, said, "We are proud of Sister Randy for making the jump to television. She has a loyal following on the Internet and we look forward to entertaining the mass television audience with our friends at BBC America. SISTER RANDY is our second property to make the move to television and her migration to the living room clearly establishes Dotcomix as the leader in transmedia animated content." Sister Randy is a chain smoking nun who conducts misinformed art lessons.
