Side Effects Software, developer of the award-winning Houdini family of 3D software, announced that DNA Prods. (THE ADVENTURES OF JIMMY NEUTRON, BOY GENIUS) will use Houdini extensively for its all-CG pipeline to create a new animated feature for Warner Bros and Playtone, THE ANT BULLY. Based on John Nickles best-selling childrens book, Playtones Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman and DNA founders John A. Davis and Keith Alcorn are producing. Davis wrote the screenplay and is directing the film. In addition to providing DNA with its family of Houdini products for use throughout the pipeline, Side Effects Software will offer its consulting staff to assist in the production process. The company will help DNA with the pipeline set up and planning and customize its Houdini software to meet DNAs production needs.
