Sony’s hugely popular subscription-based anime platform is now available on the streamer in the U.S., Canada, Sweden, and the U.K., with additional territories launching in 2024, allowing users to easily stream anime content.
Crunchyroll, Sony’s hugely popular subscription-based anime streaming platform, is now available through Prime Video Channels alongside apps like Max, Paramount+, and more. The platform is accessible in the U.S., Canada, Sweden, and the U.K., with additional territories launching in 2024.
Crunchyroll will offer two tiers of ad-free subscription options, granting access to the world’s largest anime library, spanning 46,000 episodes and more than 1,300 series and films.
“Crunchyroll offers an anime adventure for every kind of fan,” said Terry Li, EVP of emerging business, Crunchyroll. “From sports to romantic comedy, horror, and action to slice-of-life, even the anime-curious can get immersed in our library. We look forward to welcoming new fans into the anime community through our launch on Prime Video Channels.”
Matt Cohen, head of content acquisition and partnerships, Prime Video Channels, added the addition of Crunchyroll would mean that “Prime members can now easily stream anime content on Prime Video.”
For those few remaining non-Prime members, Crunchyroll recently announced the launch of a new 24/7 channel to support audience’s growing appetite for anime, offering viewers a new way to watch. Amazon Freevee (October 17), LG Channels (October 11), The Roku Channel (October 11), and VIZIO WatchFree+ (October 11) are the first to carry the channel.
