Crunchyroll Celebrates ‘The World of Anime’ at Annecy 2024

The leading anime destination’s ‘Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi-‘ feature gets its world premiere, and ‘Zom 100’ animated series screens as an official selection in TV competition; the festival runs June 9-15.

Anime destination Crunchyroll heads to Annecy International Animation Film Festival next week with its highly anticipated soccer anime Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi- which gets its international premiere as part of the newly announced “Annecy Presents” section. Its anime horror comedy series Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead screens as an official selection of the TV Films competition category. The Annecy Festival runs June 9-15.

Blue Lock the Movie -Episode Nagi- The International premiere presented in “Annecy Presents

  • “That’s a hassle,” says second-year high schooler Nagi Seishiro, reciting his favorite phrase. He lives his dull life until Mikage Reo, a classmate who dreamed of winning the World Cup, discovered Nagi’s hidden skill, inspiring him to play soccer and share his outstanding talent. One day, he receives an invitation to the mysterious Blue Lock Project. What awaits him there is an encounter with the finest strikers assembled from across the country. Nagi’s dream of becoming the best, alongside Reo, will take this prodigy to a world he’s never known. A prodigy can only be shaped when someone discovers him….now, striker Nagi Seishiro’s incredible talent and persona will set the soccer world ablaze.

Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead (TV Films in Competition 4)

The first episode, which streamed in 2023 on Crunchyroll, takes part in the official competition in the TV Films category.
