CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG was the big winner again of four nominations, topping all other animated shows, at The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations announced on March 12, 2003. Almost exactly a year ago, on March 13, 2003, CLIFFORD led the animation pack with five noms. The PBS series is produced by Scholastic Productions and Mike Young Productions. Close behind was Nicks DORA THE EXPLORER, nabbing three nominations, including one for Outstanding Children's Animated Program. Tied with two nominations each were PBS' ARTHUR (CINAR), DISNEY'S KIM POSSIBLE (Disney TV Animation), Nick's LITTLE BILL and Kids' WB!'s OZZY & DRIX (Warner Bros. Animation).
The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards presentation will be broadcast on ABC from New York City's Radio Music Hall on Friday, May 16, 2003 (8-11 pm, ET). This marks the first time the Daytime Emmy telecast is three hours. Most of the animation awards will be handed out during the non-televised Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony presented on Saturday, May 10, in New York at the Marriott Marquis Hotel and in Los Angeles at the Sheraton Universal Hotel. The National Television Academy is still determining which, if any, of the animated program awards will be broadcast and which will remain in the creative crafts ceremony.
