Chris Columbus' 1492 Pictures has picked up the rights to Charles Yu's novel HOW TO LIVE SAFELY IN A SCIENCE FICTIONAL UNIVERSE, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The story follows a time machine repairman who travels time in search of his lost father.
Columbus, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe are the producers. Brendan Bellomo, who made the impressive student sci-fi short BOHEMIBOT, is directing.
