Animation Block Party Announces 2018 Juried Award Winners

Guru Studio’s short film ‘The Space Between Stars’ wins Best in Show award.

The 2018 edition of Animation Block Party has wrapped in Brooklyn, NY, with the Best in Show award given to Guru Studio’s short film The Space Between Stars, directed by Samuel W. Bradley.

The Animation Block Party 2018 Prize Jury included Psyop, Hornet and Blue Sky director/animator Lizzi Akana, Stephen Neary, creator of The Fancies from Cartoon Network, and Sarah Schmidt, the founder of animation screening nite/fanzine Malt Adult.

This year's four-day Animation Block Party festival wrapped up on Sunday, July 29th with a day full of juried program screenings followed by filmmaker Q&As at all Brooklyn shows.
