The Adventure May Have Finally Begun on ‘Uncharted’ Set

Tom Holland, star of Sony’s adaptation of Naughty Dog’s infamous action-adventure game, hints at first look into film’s pre-production.

It seems that Drake’s Misfortune might finally be over! Back in January, we reported further delays in Sony’s film adaptation of legendary PlayStation action-adventure game, Uncharted. Since then, Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) has taken the helm as director, with a tentative release date now set to July 16, 2021. Although we’ve been burned by setbacks and false rumors in the past, it seems like the film is actually really finally underway, thanks to the film’s lead, Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland.

On July 15th, Holland posted a picture on Instagram of a chair emblazoned with the name “Nate” and captioned with “Day one #uncharted”

While this doesn’t necessarily mean filming has started, it’s a very, very good sign. Hopefully the film’s 13-year struggle to land on the big screen is finally coming to an end.
