I made a tool to help you estimate animation costs

It's overwhelming to start from scratch, it’s hard to price yourself and independent projects and if you don’t have experience you have to collect data from many sources to get started.

So I thought, hey, let's create a tool that makes it easy to start getting a sense of how much a project will cost and how many weeks of production it'll be.

I just launched it but would love to get your guys' feedback. So any thoughts are more than welcome!

Here's the url: www.animpricer.com

Looking forward to hear what you think and if it's useful to you!

Animation costs depend on the

Animation costs depend on the style and length. 3D animation is much more expensive than 2D, because 3D is three dimensional and required more work to create the characters and environment.

For 1 minute animation in 2D costs from $200 - $1000.

  • Traditionally animated 2D style (expensive but very high quality) $500 - $1000 per minute
  • Cut-Out animated 2D style (quick delivery time, cheaper and good quality) $200 - $500 per minute

And for 1-minute animation in 3D will cost from $350 - $2000.

The expenses of 3D animation depend on the complexity of the scene, characters, and rendering. This makes 3D animation charges range from studio to studio.

Cartoon style animation are cheaper compared to realistic 3D animations.
