We just bought a new Samsung TV, and its great, but what we didn't know about was the interesting new Auto Motion Plus option:

Or if you'd rather not leave the safety of the AWN forums, the TV can basically morph frames between the frames to create a smoother framerate.
I thought "cool, we watch a lot of movies, this'll make them look smoother, especially the oldies." and in my pondering I overlooked something and it finally hit me-Animation! This will actually Super-Tween cartoons, movies, you name it!
We tried it out yesterday with Pinocchio on Blu-Ray(Note: the movie brings me to tears, as usual), even if it was already remastered/redrawn, it, in some cases, really smoothened out the the pans and some other nice effects. Meanwhile, it made the movie super smooth, but it seemed a little strange, because even though it was at normal speed, the characters looked sped-up, and their animations almost a little creepily-smooth.
Now, it does have levels, so you can turn up the frame rate between Low/Medium/High, but my real thought was "Wow, I bet this could really come in handy for animators around the world, this is pretty big", but I'm wondering if in the long run it may remove some of the "painters-touch" of an animation.
What do you guys think?

Personally I would wait for the reviews to come out on any new, expensive, product. That aside, anything that would give me film like quality on the small screen, is something I am for.
Not a fan of the look of the Auto Motion. It makes everything look like video to me because of the high frame rate.
