I'm used to being around other animators and artists, and talking about keyframe rates and the latest Flash animation techniques. But it was like an entirely different world being around executives and studio heads. Cartoon shows are known as "brands," ideas are valued for their international appeal, and "multi-platform" properties are the trend. I now have a better understanding as to why artists and executives have a tendency to butt heads.
Even though I found my first visit to be very overwhelming, it opened my eyes to a completely different side of the industry and proved to be very insightful. I also got the chance to meet some really great people. Just thought I'd take a moment to share.
