Talented skilled noob

I'm making a pilot episode for this great story. It's imaginative and exciting with sympathetic characters with a futuristic sci-fi settings. I'm hoping it can lead to a cartoon series or even a movie, at least to showcase the skills of those who perticipated. I've done D2 short animations before but this one is a winner combining 2D and 3D. I want to get one or two assistants to help me but I'm a freelance artist with little to no budget so do I take on the whole project on my own or is it realistic to hope to fiind some fresh unknown artists who wants to make this their protfilio as I am. In the very least I could pay them once I start selling copies of the movie. But I want to know if I'm going about it the wrong way? I came to this forum hoping to find either talent or clarity on I have to do.

You should probably just produce a short version of it by yourself and then try selling that to a network, studio, or film festival.

I personally would not work for some stranger for free. You might try asking friends, family, or co-workers. That's usually how it works when you can't pay.

yeah i'm doing the same for things. i just talked to friend about maybe getting something into production.

depending where you are flyers in comic shops and art stores might help.
