How long would it take to do a traditional animation.

I'm planning on doing a traditional animation for an art project, approximatley how long would it take to do five minutes.

Full animation? Lots of holds? True traditional animation, where every image is drawn, or limited, where you only change certain parts? It's impossible to estimate without knowing more detail, but five minutes is a very long piece.

Yeah, five minutes is quite a long time. Some people take all semester to do student films that are five minutes long. It really does depend on how animated and the style and look that you are going to do it in.
