Animated web series (3x weekly)

Hi.
I'd like to announce my new web-based animated series. It's called the Spider Cliff Mysteries and new chapters are posted three times a week. It's animated entirely with procedural code and it's also interactive, so you have some small amount of control over the conversations. The project is certainly a work in progress, I'm always adding new animations and features into the mix.

I welcome all feedback!

Thanks,
Jason

To do weekly updates is ambitious, three times a week is heroic. Wish you luck. I am on a dialup so still trying to download some of your stuff.

Heroic. I like the sound of that.

There's no heroism here, though. I've just been concentrating on finding an efficient way to tell a story. (Almost done with two stories so far.) I was originally hesitant to use Flash, but I have to say my work is the better for it.

I should clarify my goal. "Animated series" might be the wrong term. The series is in a narrative form not unlike stage drama combined with interactive pathways, which only happens to be animated. And the animation that is here is not keyframed, it's procedural routines designed to convey gestures. The IK and stuff is done in real-time. The overall goal is efficiency over quality, but as I'm always working on the animation engine the overall quality should slowly improve. A nice feature of Flash is the ability to link all the episodes to a central code bank; all updates are retroactively applied. I welcome any feedback or questions about my series or the underlying foundation.
