Hey everybody!
As you all probably remember, I get all tingly whenever someone mentions "physics" and "animation" in the same sentence. Perhaps that's what drove me to write my Master's thesis on the subject. Perhaps that's what's driving me to write a best-selling (hopefully) textbook that will be the definitive reference book for artistic animators. ;-) In any case, I just thought I'd let you all know I'm putting all my animation and physics stuff up on my web page at http://hometown.aol.com/gilruiz1/animator.htm
I've not only put my thesis paper there, I've also included a gallery of animation tutorials on things such as cloth, modeling physically correct CG cars, and how Maya's new fluid dynamics functions work. Also, a new tutorial on the physics of animating explosions should be up tomorrow (glee!).
Well, that's about it. I hope you all find it useful. Laters!
Great stuff! I'm writing my master thesis too, and it's very inspirational to see something like this :)
I'll be following your website for further detail, I'm really interested. I might even add some things on my paper (academically credited, of course)
