Following up on the success of the inaugural event at California State University, Sacramento on June 29-30, 2002, our next festival scheduled for June 28-29, 2003 at Cal Expo and State Fair in Sacramento will feature a diverse, complementary blend of popular artists and musicians. The festival will be heavily promoted locally to ensure drawing large diverse audiences. Performances will be interspersed with prominent well known guest speakers from local, national and international child abuse prevention and children's rights organizations known for delivering dynamic presentations that not only educate and motivate, but also captivate and inspire the audience. Spaces will be provided to a wide variety of community-based child abuse intervention and prevention organizations, as well as all other organizations, public agencies and schools serving children to obtain donations, distribute literature, recruit volunteers, solicit new members, and answer questions concerning their organization's services. The organizing committee is working hard to create a family atmosphere at the two-day festival to fully satisfy the interests of adults and children, families and singles, and persons at every age. Our goal is to make it extremely conducive to the interactive sessions and informal learning.
