Hi everyone!
I'm a student studying illustration, and is very interested in animation. I'm currently writing an essay on how illustration feeds into animation, and it would be a big help if any animators here would be able to help me understand how illustration can play a role in animating.
What sort of job roles are usually more illustrative in animation? Is it easy for an illustrator to merge into animtion? Just some questions like this.

I'm an illustrator who works on the animation industry here in Mexico. I think illustration and animation go pretty well together, and you can find illustration jobs mostly on the pre-production process, like character design, visual developement, background design, props, storyboard etc.
