On my blog, I discuss the subversive narrative of the Elmer Fudd cartoon Ant Pasted (by friz Freleng c. 1953). Check it out and see if you agree or disagree with the text.

I am not sure where you got that this cartoon should be interpredited as anti McCarthyism. To me that tie in is vague. It certainly demonstrates the downtrodden fighting against undue submission.

I recently watched Jim Carrey's " The Majestic". That certainly demonstrated how all educated knowledgable Americans should react to the restrictions certain political interests wish to inflict on those they feel subservient. And this is a time in history if the little man doesn't stand up and be counted, that political interests can control our lifes and freedoms. I stand for the constitution and individual human rights, and I will speak up when they are compromised.

No political party can guarrantee safety, don't fall into the trap of allowing your rights to be compromised, on the grounds that if you give something up they can better protect you....it's smoke and mirrors, and a meer ruse to allow them to erode the checks and balances that protect you.
