True, true...
I try my best sajdera!:)
Though I do enjoy a good clean debate, a lot tend to slide more into much name calling, mud slinging and eye-gouging...
Personaly, I prefer drive-by wedgies and the occasional strategic whoopie cushion placement!
I get my fill at other sites on the politcal scene, and come here for what we all love. Tractor equipment!
Cheers!

Hey Splat what's your favorite tractor? I prefer the old Ford 8ns. Got to love their simplicity. But I also had a 2 banger John Deere I was fond of also. Internationals have also held a place in my heart, but working on their transmissions can be a pain in the butt.

Allis Chalmers...I've never met an operating one. Only seen restored ones at fairs and in magazines. My dad had fond memories of one. You are a true connosieur.

Hee-hee!
I'm just a stinker, Pat!;)

So I gather Splat, you've never sucked dust into your lungs on a hot day while plowing a field, or moving manure. You haven't really lived. That's one of the joys of living in the country and doing a job that might be nasty, but has to be done.
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
You gather correctly!
The only tractor I've ever driven was a Tonka!
It was fun, tho...!

At least you're honest Splatty. I was hoping there were other tractor jockies here at AWN. I am probably part of a dying breed. Anyway it was more fun than discussing politics.
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
...and yet,
they both dig up dirt!;)
(badda-bing!)
Both my kiddies love tractors, by the way!)
Cheers!

My wish for all of you young'ns here at AWN is maybe some day you'll plow a field, or move a mountain of manure. It really gives you a sense of accomplishment. You are out there by yourself, watching the birds and all the rodents that move out of your way. You are one with the environment. Sure you are riding on that diesel machine, but you are in control. And it's up to you to complete the job.
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
Yup.
Darned kids have it too easy these days!
...now if you'll excuse me, it's time for my foot massage. ;)
Cheers!

Not saying anyone has it easy. Just I would never give up my tractor experiences or the time I spent one on one with my environment. They helped shape me. And the fact that I had a job and my family depended on me to finish it. Those are the important things.
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
Indeed, Pat!
I'm not making light of the subject at all. Really.
Lots of people would love to have had those moments out there.
Me, I'm a silly city rat that would most likely drive my rig right into the ditch!
(Then blame the steering!)

Splatman, I know you are no HH. I hope someday you take your kids out to a farm where they can smell dawn and dusk, and gather eggs. That would be something they could remember forever. Best wishes for you and yours.

Right back atcha!
My boy in particular is a DR. Doolittle at heart!
