Spacey brings you... a new animation from Pascal???

Pascal is THA BOMB!

Let me explain this...

I work for a company called "Clearwire." Clearwire is a broadband provider, just like SBC DSL or Verizon or Comcast Cable. The difference is that you get the signal via something similar to a cellphone signal. Your modem has "bars" on it just like a cell phone. Plug it into a power outlet and plug it into your computer. No software. No DSL or Cable lines. That means it's portable so you can take it from house to house, or to work or school.

We're only in 22 markets so far, so there's a good chance you haven't heard of us, but the owner of the company is the guy who started Cellular One and NexTel so he's not a fly-by-nighter, he's got $$$ and people are watching Clearwire very closely.

I have been sharing Pascal's animations with my boss and co-workers who have enjoyed them very much. My boss said it would be cool if there was a Clearwire specific one, and Pascal happily obliged.

So, I give you: The Clearwire Boss Animation:

Clearwire just got official ok here to build a tower. Hope I have the money to subscribe when it goes through.

Did he do that for free? Was this just for kicks or will it be used somewhere?

haha. awesome.

Cool to see the classic boss animations used in a real situation.

and uh, spaceghost. Is it just WiFi signals? I went to the website. Pretty minimal. Where exactly are the locations available?

It's not WiFi, like you think with hot spots. It connects you to the internet with a signal like a cell phone, but in the 2.5 Ghz frequency range. So instead of having a cable or DSL line in your house (like if you have Direct TV or only use cell phones and don't have a land line) you can still get highspeed internet.

Think of it like it was in the first couple of years of cell phone service. Everybody wanted it but it was only available in a few places. Twenty years later, it's available almost everywhere (except where topography prohibits it) but it took a long time to get there. CW is in 22 markets with a lot more greenlit and just waiting to be activated.

Seattle is one of the next to come online, so you'll hear more soon.

NEEDS MORE VIOLENCE!

Haha, just kidding. That's great--I love the boss's face when he looks into the screen. Pascal's awesome.

The people at work loved it. They'll probably send it around via email but they won't use it anywhere corporately.

Thanks again, Pascal!
