Anime of the Year noms include ‘DAN DA DAN,’ ‘Delicious in Dungeon,’ ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,’ ‘Kaiju No. 8,’ ‘Solo Leveling,’ and ‘The Apothecary Diaries;’ Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Damiano David top list of presenters planned for live May 25 Tokyo ceremony.
The event, honoring the best in anime, adds Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Slice of Life in recognition of artistic excellence and variety; ceremony streams live from Tokyo on March 2, 2024.
The eighth edition of the Anime Awards will take place next March 2, co-hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and presenter Jon Kabira.
The leading anime platform boasts a-list slate of presenters participating in this year’s award ceremony taking place Mach 4; returning to the genre’s birthplace, the event streams live from Tokyo, honoring creators, musicians, and performances across streaming and theatrical.
Anime of the Year nominees include ‘Attack on Titan Final’ Season Part 2, ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,’ ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc,’ ‘Lycoris Recoil,’ ‘Ranking of Kings’ Cour 2, and ‘SPY x FAMILY;’ fans can vote every day, in every category, through January 25 – winners will be announced March 4.
14 categories have been set for the live ceremony in Tokyo coming March 4, 2023, with an additional 9 categories set for the virtual ceremony.
