‘Yumi’s Cells: The Movie’ Now Streaming on Rakuten Viki

Animated feature, based on the popular Webtoon and live-action K-Drama, just debuted on the U.S. Asian content streamer; also released are new anime series ‘Mom, I'm Sorry’ and ‘Rakshasa Street’ Seasons 1-3 from BILIBILI.

Rakuten Viki, a leading U.S. and globally streaming platform for Asian content announced the upcoming July 19 U.S. release of the animated feature film, Yumi’s Cells: The Movie, based on the globally popular Webtoon and live-action K-Drama.

Yumi’s Cells: The Movie, which released theatrically in Korea earlier this year, will only be available on Rakuten Viki in the U.S. The film tells the story of an office worker Yumi and the different kinds of cells in her brain including the Rational Cell, Anxiety Cell, and Love Cell, which each have a responsibility for driving Yumi’s emotions and actions.

The feature is co-produced by Locus Corporation and Studio N.

‘Rakshasa Street’

Rakuten Viki has also teamed up with BILIBILI to bring more Chinese anime series to its platform, picking up two BILIBILI series, Mom, I'm Sorry and Rakshasa Street Season 1-3.

  • Mom, I'm Sorry anime series, based on a popular Korean Webtoon, follows Henry who gives his terminally ill mom a second chance in exchange for reducing his own lifespan.
  • Rakshasa Street Season 1-3 tells the story of a recent college graduate who unknowingly crosses the boundary into a world of spirits but thinks he is in a job interview.
