Win DVDs in Universal Classic Monster Illustration Contest!

Universal Studios and Visionary Cinema are conducting the Universal Monsters Amateur Art Contest. Open to citizens of the U.S., Mexico and Canada, the contest will pick the best renderings of one of either Count Dracula, Frankensteins Monster, or The Wolf Man, which should be the artists completely original conception of the character, and not based on any previous versions that have appeared in film, TV, or any other artistic medium. Two age groups will be considered up to 14 years of age, and 15 years of age and up. All submitted artwork must be created on a maximum size of 8 1/2 x 11 and be submitted on a flat paper material no synthetics or dimensional canvases allowed. All two-dimensional hand-manipulated forms for art medium are acceptable. Oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, watercolors, pencils, and crayons are acceptable. Judging will be done by a jury of prominent Hollywood makeup artists and will be held prior to the April 27, 2004 release date of the MONSTER LEGACY DVD sets.

Label all artwork with your name, medium used, age and complete address, phone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) and send it to UNIVERSAL CLASSIC MONSTERS AMATEUR ART CONTEST at Visionary Cinema, P.O. Box 1722, Glendora, California 91740-1722. All submissions must be postmarked April 10, 2004. No submissions received with dates after that postmark will be considered. One Grand Prize will be awarded for each age group for each character included each Grand Prize winner will win the complete MONSTER LEGACY Box Set. Five runners-up for each age group for each character included will win an individual MONSTER LEGACY DVD set for their chosen character. The top entries will have their collective artwork reproduced in full-color high-quality resolution and will be available for display on the Universal Home Video Website.
