William Hurt is in discussions to play Jeb in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel THE HOST, reports EW. Jeb is the leader of the human resistance against the alien "souls" that have been possessing everyone on the planet. The character is the uncle of protagonist Melanie Stryder, who will be played by Saoirse Ronan. The cast also includes Max Irons and Jake Abel.
