The industry veteran and co-founder of Atomic Cartoons launches the new production studio in partnership with Manila’s animation studio, Toon City.
Veteran animation executive Trevor Bentley announced the opening of Toon City Vancouver, a new production studio in Canada's thriving animation hub. After dedicating 24 years to Atomic Cartoons, the studio he co-founded, Bentley has embarked on a new chapter in his career. Toon City Vancouver will specialize in both traditional and digital animation services, while actively seeking co-production opportunities. The new studio has launched in partnership with Manila’s powerhouse animation studio, Toon City.
The principals have a long history working together on hit Disney XD series Counterfeit Cat, the Wildseed series Incredible Ant, and award-winning PBS series Molly of Denali.
“Over the years I’ve had nothing but admiration for the talented team at Toon City,” commented Bentley. “The opportunity to build a pipeline that encompasses the deep talent pools in Vancouver and Manila and the immediate benefits for our clients made the decision automatic.”
According to Miguel del Rosario, CEO of Toon City, Philippines, “I have seen how Trevor developed and nurtured his former studio, Atomic Cartoons. We have worked with him as service providers, and I only have admiration for his professionalism. Trevor is highly regarded in global animation, and I cannot be prouder in having him as our partner. This is a dream come-true as it opens huge possibilities for Toon City.”
