Winners of the Critics Choice Association’s 25th annual awards were announced last night at their Barker Hangar gala ceremony in Santa Monica, California.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA), representing more than 400 television, radio and online critics, handed out their annual awards last night the 25th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, broadcast live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The gala event aired on The CW Network and was hosted for the second year by film, television, and stage star Taye Diggs.
Among the 41 film and TV categories being honored, Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4 took home the award for Best Animated Feature, while Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame took home the award for Best Visual Effects and Best Action Movie. On the TV side, Netflix’s BoJack HorseMan took the award for Best Animated Series.

Critics’ Choice Awards are bestowed annually to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement. The Critics Choice Association is the largest critics organization in the United States and Canada. It was organized last year with the formal merger of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, recognizing the blurring of the distinctions between film, television, and streaming content.
The 25th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards show was produced by Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment. The CCA is represented by Dan Black of Greenberg Traurig.
