Check everyone off your holiday list at the 3rd annual event that features unique and memorable gifts from pros behind popular animated TV shows and films.
It is time to find that perfect gift for that special someone! The Animation Guild (TAG) has launched its 3rd Annual Virtual Holiday Market running through December 18. The marketplace features unique and memorable gifts from the multi-talented pros behind popular animated TV shows and films.
“It was very cool to bring other creators out of the woodwork with the idea of a hassle-free marketplace, and even better to find that co-workers were excited to support artists by shopping small,” shared TAG member and marketplace organizer, Ashley Long. “The opportunity to make this a larger scale event with the help of The Animation Guild amplified all of those rewards.”
Shoppers will find stationary, plush toys, crossbody bags, comic books, 3D printer jewelry, sculptures, face masks, toddler clothing, aromatherapy, stickers, books, and more. This a great way to “shop local” and support artists:
- Jonathon E. Stewart, a screenwriter on Angry Birds 2 and SCOOB!, is the founder of Java Stew Coffee based in Hermosa Beach, California. His custom roasting company focuses on ethical brokers and growers who use safe, sustainable shade techniques and provide a fair wage.
- Esther Barr spent more than 20 years as a special-effects animator; over the past two decades she has been devoted to distilling the essence of movement into her copper artwork. Finished with patina, torch-fused enamel, or color oxides, Barr’s unique and striking creations are featured at her online gallery, Esther Barr Metalworks.
- Onesimus Neurnberger’s credits include Captain America: Civil War and Trolls: World Tour. He is currently working as matte painter at DreamWorks Animation. Outside the industry he creates charming artwork for LaCorgi, where he sells prints, greeting cards, stickers, and apparel inspired by his pet corgi Georgi.
