Terry Kalagian has been named Vice President of Business Development for Rainmaker Entertainment, it was jointly announced today by Warren Franklin, CEO, and Catherine Winder, President of Rainmaker.

Vancouver, BC – September 15, 2009 - Terry Kalagian has been named Vice President of Business Development for Rainmaker Entertainment, it was jointly announced today by Warren Franklin, CEO, and Catherine Winder, President of Rainmaker. Kalagian, a veteran animation producer and development consultant, will focus her efforts on cross-platform distribution opportunities for Rainmaker’s original content, as well as work-for-hire projects and newly revived REBOOT properties.

Kalagian, who will report directly to Winder, will expand the company’s work-for-hire business in addition to targeting new distribution opportunities for Rainmaker's created content in feature film, direct-to-DVD, television and cross-platform projects. She will kick-off her new role with a major focus on REBOOT. Kalagian will work closely on Rainmaker’s internal development slate with Kimberly Dennison, Rainmaker's Director of Development, who also reports to Winder. Dennison is responsible for finding and developing new projects for Rainmaker.

REBOOT, Rainmaker's groundbreaking CG animated television series from the mid-1990s, will be revitalized through a series of feature length and short form projects. Fans of ReBoot have been participating in the development efforts via the Official REBOOT Fansite, a web 2.0 community (www.reboot.com). Luna, the first of a series of original shorts from Rainmaker, is currently in production.
Kalagian's most recent position was heading up Kalagian Productions, offering consultation in production, development and research to her global client base including Cartoon Network, Starz Media, Marvel, Mattel, Wild Brain and Blink Studios. Prior to that, she spent ten years with the Cartoon Network, first as Vice President of Research from 1996 through 2002 followed by Vice President of Programming, Acquisitions and Co-Productions until 2006. During that time, she participated in the development of WULIN WARRIORS, ATOMIC BETTY, CODE LYOKO, SCARY GODMOTHER II, HELLBOY: SWORD OF THE STORMS, HELLBOY: BLOOD & IRON, GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE, STORM HAWKS, SKUNK FU and YAM ROLLS. Kalagian has an extensive background in market research, having worked with Dimac Direct and affiliates of NBC and CBS. She has an MBA from Fontbonne College.
