Action/fantasy movie TEKKONKINKREET, directed by American Michael Arias, won the best animation prize at Fridays 2008 Japan Academy Awards ceremony, VARIETY reports.
TOKYO TOWER: MOM AND ME, AND SOMETIMES DAD, a mother-son relationship drama based on a memoir by illustrator Lily Franky, won for best picture and four others.
