Disney Consumer Products’ ‘Star Wars’ wins four awards at Tuesday night’s 2016 LIMA International Licensing Awards.
NEW YORK -- Disney Consumer Products’ Star Wars won four awards at the 2016 LIMA International Licensing Awards, while Hot Topic took home Retailer of the Year for Doctor Who. For the first time, a European venue was selected as the winner of the Location-Based/Experiential Initiative Award, AMC and Parque de Atracciones de Madrid (Striker Entertainment) took home the trophy for its The Walking Dead walk-through attraction. Winners in 20 categories were announced during LIMA’s annual awards program, held at the 2016 Licensing Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas.
“This year’s award winners are definitive leaders in their respective categories and across the entire licensing landscape. Once again, nominees and award recipients truly exemplify licensing excellence in all corners of the globe,” commented LIMA President Charles Riotto.
