Steven Spielberg is joining forces with Stephen King to transform the horror writer's latest novel, UNDER THE DOME, into a TV miniseries, reports VARIETY. DreamWorks TV holds the rights to the book and plans the limited series to be a cable project.
The story is set in a small Maine town where panic ensues when an unexplained force field prevents the citizens from leaving. DreamWorks is currently looking for a screenwriter.
Spielberg, King, Stacey Snider, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey are the exec producers.
