VARIETY reports that Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, Justin Long and Seann William Scott will provide lead voices in New Line Cinema's PLANET 51.
The film, set for release July 24, 2009, is New Line's first 3D CG animated feature.
Johnson will give his voice to astronaut Chuck Baker, who thinks he's the first to discover Planet 51 only to find it inhabited by green people living an innocent, 1950s-style way of life.
SHREK scribe Joe Stillman wrote the script, directed by Jorge Blanco, co-directed by Javier Abad and Marcos Martinez and produced by Madrid-based Ilion Animation Studios.
Ilion CEO Ignacio Perez Dolset will produce with Guy Collins co-producing and selling the international rights for Handmade Films.
