France's Sav! The World Productions has announced that its animated series OBAN STAR-RACERS will be broadcast in Japan on NHK BS2, the satellite channel of Japan's national channel. The show will air Saturday mornings beginning October 6, 2007.
Already broadcast in more than 70 countries, including Toon Disney and ABC Family in the USA, Super-RTL in Germany, GMTV in the U.K., France 3 in France and all of Jetix's cable channels, the show was produced largely in Tokyo, where Sav! The World's artistic team lived and worked with top Japanese artists, including renowned composers Yoko Kanno and Iwasaki Taku.
OBAN STAR-RACERS is created, written and produced by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel and directed by Savin Yeatman-Eiffel and Thomas Romain. The show was developed and produced by Sav! The World Productions in co-production with Jetix Europe, and in association with the Japanese companies Bandai Visual and Hal Film Maker.
