Nicktoons Network, Nickelodeons 24-hour animation network, premieres THE SECRET SHOW, an original series from U.K. producer Collingwood OHare Ent., on Jan. 20, 2007, at 8:30 pm. The 13 half-hour series, which is packed with covert missions, layers of secrecy and original storylines, will air regularly Saturdays at 8:30 pm on Nicktoons Network.
Commissioned by the BBC, THE SECRET SHOW is a fast-paced, animated secret agent series about secret people doing secret things. Sort of a GET SMART meets MONTY PYTHON in retro-styled, 2D animation, its a show within a show masked behind a fictional onscreen series, "The Fluffy Bunny Show." Special agents Victor Volt and Anita Knight work for U.Z.Z protecting the world against the evil forces of T.H.E.M. Victor and Anita manage to save the world, once or sometimes even twice a week with the help of their boss whose name is literally changed daily and his technical egghead Professor Professor. Not only do they work for a secret organization, but the show itself is full of secrets.
We love to super-serve our viewers with diverse styles of animation, themes and characters and THE SECRET SHOW is a great addition to our lineup, said Keith Dawkins, vp/gm of Nicktoons Network. The show feels fresh. Everything from the fictional Fluffy Bunny Show to the super secret agents makes us laugh out loud. We think our audience will find the shows mix of wit, humor and retro style animation as exciting as we do.
In the premiere episode, The Secret Thing, the Impostors, creatures capable of replicating humans as hard copy holograms, try to steal The Secret Thing. Victor and Anita must protect The Secret Thing but have trouble telling the difference between the real Anita and the villainous Impostor.
The second part of the premiere episode, Who Stole Switzerland, shows Martian gravity thieves who are sucking up the Earths gravity into trucks and flying it off to planet Mars to have "falling down parties." Entire countries are weightlessly floating around. Mars, however, is becoming so gravitational that all the Earths countries are slowly being sucked toward it on a collision course. Victor and Anita must get the Earths gravity back before the planets collide.
