Blood flows and fists fly in a new season of the hit anime series about 13 gods from across the globe and 13 of the world's most notable humans fighting it out in one-on-one battles to decide the fate of humanity.

Season 3 is directed by Koichi Hatsumi (Tokyo Revengers), with Yasuyuki Muto (Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway) serving as the main writer. Series music is by Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto); character design by Yoko Tanabe (Handyman Saitou in Another World") and Hisashi Kawashima ("Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream); and animation production by Yumeta Company x MARU animation.

The voice cast features Miyuki Sawashiro; Tomoyo Kurosawa; Tomokazu Seki;  Hikaru Midorikawa; and Wataru Takagi.

The manga, produced by Azychika (art), Umemura (story), and Fukui (story structure), and serialized in Monthly Comic Zenon by Coamix, has won numerous manga awards, including the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2019 for male readers, the National Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2019, and the 2nd Manga News Prize. It has sold over 18 million copies in total. The manga creators have shared an exclusive illustration to celebrate the upcoming Season 3 release, along with the teaser:

Umemura expressed his gratitude for Season 3, saying, “I’m so grateful that the third season of the anime is being produced. This is all thanks to everyone’s support — thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to see how that one move by Nikola Tesla appears on screen! I hope everyone will continue to watch Record of Ragnarok!”

Fukui adds, “Much time has passed since the explosive ending to the second season. Thanks to the support of our fans, the third season is finally here! How will that fiery battle we depicted in the comic be recreated? How will certain moves and scenes come to life on screen? Plus, familiar characters will cross paths again. I can't wait for everyone to see the continuation of the battle between gods and humanity!”

The second season, released in January 2023, surpassed first season numbers, reaching the weekly Top 10 (Non-English series) in 84 countries and claiming the No. 1 spot in the Daily TV Series Top 10 in 17 countries.
