Netflix Sets ‘Twilight of The Gods’ Premiere

Zack Snyder’s spectacular vision of ancient Norse mythology comes to life in the 2D animated series, streaming September 19.

Welcome to Hell's Door! Watch Netflix’s video announcement revealing the September 19 streaming premiere of Zack Snyder’s Twilight of The Gods. The animated series brings to life Zack Snyder’s “daring and spectacular vision of ancient Norse mythology.” Produced by Stone Quarry Animation and Xilam Animation, episode directors include Snyder, Jay Oliva, Tim Divar, Andrew Tamandl, and Dave Hartman.

The show is set in a mythical world of great battles, great deeds, and great despair. Leif, a mortal King, is saved on the battlefield by Sigrid, an iron-willed warrior with whom he falls in love. On their wedding night, Sigrid and Leif survive a wrath of terror from Thor, which sets them - and a crew of crusaders - on an “against all odds” merciless mission for vengeance. This heroic story of love, loss, and revenge is a journey to Hell and beyond… across fantastical lands, battlefields fierce and bloody, and wars waged against Gods and demons.

The series’ voice cast includes Sylvia Hoeks (Sigrid); Stuart Martin as (Leif); Rahul Kohli (Egill); Paterson Joseph (Loki); Jamie Clayton (Seid-Kona); Pilou Asbæk (Thor); Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Hervor); Kristofer Hivju (Andvari); Thea Sofie Loch Næss (Thyra); John Noble (Odin); Peter Stormare (Ulfr); and others.

Zack Snyder, Oliva, and Eric Carrasco are co-creators; Zack, Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller, and Oliva serve as executive producers. The animation is produced by Xilam Animation. Zack Snyder directs the first and final episode.
