THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS writer Peter Straughan is penning the script. The story follows the swashbuckler D'Artagnan who teams with three musketeers to challenge corrupt Cardinal Richelieu. Straughan will take an action and sexy approach to the story.

Wigram has a first-look deal at Warner Bros. where he previously served as a creative exec. He hopes to create a franchise from the project, which would include Dumas' sequels TWENTY YEARS AFTER and THE VICOMTE DE BRAGALONNE.

THREE MUSKETEERS is popular title currently. RESIDENT EVIL's Paul Anderson and Germany's Constantin are producing a 3-D version of the tale.
