Fox 2000 has acquired the big screen rights to TV classic MR. ED, writes The Hollywood Reporter. The original talking horse sitcom aired from 1961 to 1966 on CBS. The new live-action film will use CG technology to make a real horse speak.
David Friendly and Jim Mahoney will produce. Fox 2000's Carla Hackan is shepherding the project,
