Press Release from Mothership
Venice, CA, June 25, 2010--Transmedia studio Mothership noted that director Patrick Jean was among the 20 new directors recognized in Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase held yesterday at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.
The Showcase, which celebrates its 20th birthday this year, features the very best new directing talent, identified by Saatchi & Saatchi offices around the world and through relationships the agency has with key internet sites. This year's theme was "Nothing is Impossible" and the Showcase was introduced by "£45 Feature Film" director Marc Price.
Jean's short film "Pixels," in which videogame characters from the 1980s invade New York City, was featured in the Showcase. It became an internet sensation after its April 7th release with over seven million views in two months. Mothership represents the Paris-based director exclusively for commercial work in the U.S.
See the 2010 New Directors' Showcase on Saatchi & Saatchi's YouTube Channel for the featured work and list of all of the directors recognized.
