Paris, 1 November 2011. Leading European production and distribution company Millimages has secured a raft of international broadcast deals with its kids’ slate proving to be hugely successful worldwide.

Major broadcasters ABC Australia and Italy’s RAI have picked up the Timoon-produced 3D animated series Bugged. The 52 x 7 minute Canal + commissioned show relives the glory days of burlesque cartoons with no dialogue, endless gags and mishaps and hilarious characters.

New 3D animated kids’ series Me and My Robot (52 x 13’) has been pre-sold to DR in Denmark, NRK Norway and SVT Sweden coming on board in Scandinavia, while VRT has picked up the show for Belgium.

The Millimages and Synergy Media, co-production is a humorous series which explores the everyday life of a group of friends, who attend a high-tech robotics school.

Millimages has secured further business in Scandinavia, with both MTV3 Finland and TV2 Denmark picking up the CBBC and Canal + commissioned series Trust Me I’m a Genie and the Kapow produced CJ the DJ.

Both properties have also been sold in Ireland with CJ the DJ going to TG4, and RTE coming on board Trust Me I’m a Genie.

Trust Me I’m a Genie (52 x 13’) is a comedy driven animated series based around Diego, a chilled out camel, who lives in a peaceful oasis; while CJ the DJ (52 x 13’) is a 3D animated series for kids about a young girl, nuts about music, who wants to share her passion with her friends and the wider world.

John Reynolds, Group Commercial Director at Millimages says: “There continues to be an international demand for quality animated properties for kids of all ages and we are thrilled to have signed so many deals with key broadcasters at MIPCOM.”
