‘Metalocalypse: The Complete Series’ Comes to Digital and DVD August 22

For the first time, all episodes from Adult Swim's award-winning original adult animated series are brought together in one set with Metalocalypse: The Complete Series. The collection includes all 62 episodes of the four-season run, the previously released special features, and the final death rock opera Metalocalypse: The Doomstar Requiem - A Klok Opera. Metalocalypse: The Complete Series will be available to purchase digitally and on DVD on August 22, 2023.

The quarter-hour animated series chronicles the world's most popular entertainment act in the known universe—the extreme metal band Dethklok—as they balance their rabid popularity with the brutality of everyday life. Metalocalypse, created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha, premiered in 2006 on Adult Swim

Fans can also look forward to the release of two full-length albums later this year with preorder now available for Dethklok’s highly anticipated Dethalbum IV. Available August 2, the album features all new original songs. The second album release, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) will include additional songs plus a totally original movie score, coming August 25.

Both albums will be released through WaterTower Music, who released “Aortic Desecration,” the first new music from Dethalbum IV, and Dethklok’s first new music in almost 10 years! Dethalbum IV will also be available on vinyl through Mondo, and vinyl preorders are now live.
