Marco Island Film Festival is southwest Florida's premier film event, featuring domestic and international feature-length and shorts in drama, comedy, documentaries and animation. Awards honoring filmmakers will be presented during closing ceremony. The event was named one of the "top 10 film festival getaways" by Chris Gore of FilmThreat.com. Opening Night's "Sandals and Cinema" has become the signature event of the festival with a film screening on the beach and under the stars. The event is open to the public.
