Look Effects, which recently worked on THE LIFE AQUATIC, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, THE O.C. and CSI: NEW YORK, has just finished its first season of producing vfx for the long running Fox series MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE.
Look Effects partner Henrik Fett, an industry vet who has worked on projects such as JOAN OF ARCADIA and THE LIFE AQUATIC, served as the series visual effects supervisor and will oversee both the on-set effects shoots at the Fox studios as well as the animation and compositing teams at Looks Hollywood facilities.
Visual effects added to the series this season ranged from wide varied shots and CG butterflies to exaggeration of elements in comedic scenes, such as a fight scene which took place on stilts, legs being split between two shopping carts and a scene involving birds bombing a yard.

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE is a critically acclaimed, offbeat comedy about a bizarrely dysfunctional family, the center of which is Malcolm the middle of the two brothers who still live at home. The show stars Frankie Muniz (AGENT CODY BANKS), Jane Kazmarek (PLEASANTVILLE), Brian Cranston (THE BIG THING), Christopher Masterson (MTVs WUTHERING HEIGHTS), Justin Berfield (UNHAPPILY EVER AFTER) and Erik Per Sullivan (CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS).
