Hillary Hayden Burri, president of Oakland-based branded children's product and multi-media company Haydenburri Lane, announced Tuesday that Jeanne Smith has joined the company as Vice President of Creative.
The position was created specifically for Smith to utilize her multi-talents as an innovator, creator, developer, director, and musician.
Haydenburri Lane continues to grow in 2008 with new additions to be announced shortly.
Smith joins Haydenburri Lane from Arizona-based Beati Productions.
At Beati she was the link between creator and the animation house and her multi-tasks included approval of all animation, script development, music and overseeing all voice talent.
She spent four years as co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Zoup-ah!, a Napa-based brand involving a children's cooking program and healthy eating.
During her four-year stint at Zoup-ah! she secured an award winning development team, interacted with the production company, developed the bible for the show, managed budgets and production schedules, and was a frequent panelist and speaker at conferences across North America.
Smith was also an adjunct professor of music at Marymount of Fordham University in New York.
She is best known for her roles on Broadway in LES MISERABLES (playing Eponine and Madame Thenardier).
She has been a vocal coach, casting director, songwriter, producer and executive produced segments of the documentary, CENTRAL PARK: 150 YEARS, which honored the 150th anniversary of Central Park.
Haydenburri Lane's products focus on creating structured and fun routines for children that develop self-confidence and coping skills, while providing parents with an avenue to develop and nurture happy, healthy and confident relationships with their children.
Current products include six new books to be released in 2008, Light-Up Safari Slippers and other merchandise based on the engaging BEDTIME SAFARI characters.
