Tom Hardy is replacing Michael Fassbender in the feature adaptation of John Le Carre's spy novel TINKER, TAILOR, SOLIDER, SPY, reports The Playlist. Hardy will play "Tricky" Ricky Tarr, a secret agent associate of anti-Bond character George Smiley, played by Gary Oldman. The story follows the search for a Russian mole in the British intelligence services.
Cast also includes Ralph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ciaran Hinds and Jared Harris.
Tomas Alfredsson (LET THE RIGHT IN) is set to direct from a script by Peter Morgan (FROST/NIXON).
